Twelve country leaders have confirmed they will attend the International Peace Summit Egypt is set to host on Saturday.
The summit is being prepared upon a call by President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi to address the the crisis in Gaza.
The summit is meant to de-escalate the situation in Gaza, help reach a ceasefire, and solve the decades-old conflict through the two-state solution.
Also the president Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi and US President Joe Biden reached an agreement over phone for the sustained entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip through the Rafah border crossing.
