“BRICS” is a group composed of Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa.
The number of countries willing to join the “BRICS” alliance and accept the new currency continues to climb. By the end of June, the number of countries had increased from 19 in April to 41. In the last two months, 22 more countries have expressed interest in joining the union and abandoning the US currency. The next “BRICS” meeting will be place in August in South Africa, where the five countries will deliberate collectively on the development of a new currency.
