FOR THREE MONTHS 15 OF MAY BRIDGE CLOSED DOWN
The Giza 15th of May Bridge will be closed for renovation and expansion from March 18 until April 17. The project intends to expand the bridge’s capacity and lessen traffic congestion.
A new turnaround has been constructed below the 15th of May bridge in Mohandeseen’s Ahmed Orabi street, diverting traffic away from Sphinx Square and toward Zamalek and Downtown Cairo. Access to the bridge through Sphinx Square has been shut down. In order to reroute pedestrians and keep an eye on traffic congestion, the Central Traffic Department of the Giza Governorate has also put up traffic signs along the nearby roads to the bridge.
