Forty beauty queens competing in the Miss Elite World competition, which was held in Hurghada till the following Saturday, were welcomed by Luxor over the course of two days. The tournament included two days of historical site visits to promote cultural tourism.
The director of the Karnak and Luxor Temple region, Dr. Mustafa El-Sagheer, confirmed that the visit by the beauty queens is in line with the Ministry of Tourism’s initiatives to promote cultural tourism and link it to beach tourism.
