Vodafone Egypt announced the suspension of foreign currency transactions for Vodafone Cash customers, to stop the drain of foreign currencies.
Many Egyptian banks also have suspended using of debit cards abroad, starting from October 10th, as this move was done in effort to halt the drain on foreign currency as Egypt’s foreign exchange currency shortage continues to deteriorate.
Travelers can secure their needs of foreign currency through the bank branches before departing.
