A 6.4 MAGNITUDE EARTHQUAKE HITS THE SYRIAN-TURKISH BORDERS
The Hatay province of Turkey, which lies near the Syrian border, experienced an earthquake on Monday with a magnitude of 6.4, according to the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre. Tens of thousands of people were killed in this region earlier this month as a result of tremors, which completely decimated the area. The depth of the earthquake on Monday was only 2 kilometres (1.2 miles).
