A NEW ARCHAEOLOGICAL DISCOVERY IN SAQQARA AREA

A 16-meter papyrus document comprising passages from the Pharaonic Book of the Dead was discovered in the Saqqara antiquities area, according to Dr. Mostafa Waziri, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities.

The discovery, the first entire papyrus manuscript to be found in a century, shocked Egyptian archaeologists.

The document was translated and given the name Waziri Papyrus after it underwent restoration at the Egyptian Museum’s Tahrir facility.

Soon, this incredible discovery will be on exhibit in a number of Egyptian institutions throughout Egypt.
