AHLAN RAMADAN FAIR LAUNCHES THREE MONTHS EARLIER THAN USUAL

The Ahlan Ramadan fair, which was established seven years ago and supplies inhabitants with necessities at a time when demand is especially strong, normally starts two weeks before Ramadan and lasts through the end of the month. However, this year’s expo opens three full months earlier than usual.

Each governorate is now setting up five Ahlan Ramadan fair shops, according to Minister of Supply and Internal Trade Ali Moselhi. Additionally, guidelines have been distributed to commercial chains so they can set up an area for selling Ramadan goods at defined prices.
To ensure that essential goods are readily available in the market and to keep prices under control in the face of rising inflation, the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade and the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce decided to begin the Ahlan Ramadan fair much earlier than customary.
