“Sound of Freedom” movie has taken the third place in earining with 173 million dollars since its release on july 4th despite its Controversial story.
“Sound of Freedom” is based on the real story of Tim Ballard who was former U.S. Department for Homeland Security agent who decideded to rescue children from human trafficking in Colombia.
“Sound of Freedom” was finished in 2018 but had a long journey to be screened in US movie theatres as it was bought by 21st Century Fox but that studio was bought by Disney, before Angel studio, so the movie has been delayed many years.
The studio followed the “pay it forward” method which is means donating the price of admission to support the movie, after many companies refused to support the movie because its story, however the superstar Mel Gibson supported the movie by enourging his fans to whatch it.
Some critics say that ‘Sound of Freedom” has an inaccurate and unrealistic story of human trafficking, and some reports said that one of people who contributed funding to the movie was charged with being an accessory to child kidnapping.
The movie will be released in Egypt on August 23 for the first time
