The actress Amber Heard, who portrayed Mera, Aquaman’s (Jason Momoa) love interest in the first film, will appear in the eagerly awaited “Aquaman” sequel. During a presentation by Warner Bros. on Tuesday at CinemaCon, the annual convention for movie theatres, the first trailer for “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” was shown.
Heard appears briefly in two underwater combat scenes in the trailer. She doesn’t say anything in the teaser, though. Heard was allegedly “cut out” of the sequel in June of last year, according to rumours. A spokeswoman for Heard refuted the rumours, calling them “inaccurate, insensitive, and slightly insane.”
