BRITAIN’S UPPINGHAM SCHOOL TO OPEN IN CAIRO IN 2O24
In September 2024, Uppingham School, one of the most prestigious and illustrious schools in the United Kingdom, will establish a new location in Cairo. A strategic alliance between New Era Education, New Giza Development, and Bloom UAE produced the K–12 coeducational school known as Uppingham Cairo. Just a few metres from where the school is supposed to be, the signing ceremony for the project was held at the base of the Great Pyramids of Giza.
With about EGP 1.5 billion spent in its construction and plans to be erected in New Giza, Uppingham Cairo will have cutting-edge teaching and athletic facilities and is anticipated to be one of the largest K–12 projects in Egypt
Tamer Tammam, the founder and chairman of New Era Academic, says, “We are thrilled to announce the debut of Uppingham Cairo, one of the top-ranked British Schools bringing worldwide experience and the highest education standards to Egypt. This marks a significant turning point in New Era Education’s mission to transform education and give communities the tools they need to overcome future educational challenges.
Since its founding in 1584, Uppingham School has continually emphasised a forward-thinking approach to education, enabling it to keep up with the times. Today, under Dr. Richard Maloney’s direction, the school upholds a comprehensive philosophy that moulds students into constructive and imaginative agents for good in their communities, and allow them to succeed in the 21st century.
