Approximately 400 Burger King locations in the US are scheduled for closure. The fast-food chain’s parent company, Restaurant Brands International Inc.’s CEO, Joshua Kobza, indicated during a Q1 earnings report that they generally close down a few hundred Burger King restaurants yearly, and they’re getting set to eliminate between 300 and 400 sites this year.
Significant franchisees of Burger King, including Toms King, EYM King, and Meridian Restaurants Unlimited, filed for bankruptcy earlier this year.
