“CIAD” brining cultural rockoning and testament to Egypt
The second annual Cairo International Art District (CIAD) opened today, bringing with it a cultural reckoning and a testament to Egypt’s unwavering contributions to the international art scene.
Staying true to their roots, @artdegypte escorted a select group of their cherished guests on an educational cultural stroll through Downtown Cairo’s busy streets, exploring the innumerable ways that art is more than just a form of entertainment but also a language to ingest and a tenacious tool for change.
Under the regal ceilings of @foundersspaces , we gathered in anticipation as we prepared for a walk that would take us to some of Downtown’s premier sites for cultural enrichment. Attendees from all walks of life witnessed events at Falaky Gallery @auc.tcc, @accessartspace , Cinema Radio, and the Five Shops on Nabrawi St
the countless angles that neatly interlock to create a fresh viewpoint of Egypt.
As the evening drew to a close, we made our way to Cinema Radio (as the floodgates of nostalgia opened) to listen to a series of presentations and Guest performer @tsaxplayer grounded the experiential endeavour through melodic interpretations of the journey we undertook, capping off the evening on a high note.
