“EGYPS “ATTRACTS OVER 500 EXHIBITORS
Between February 13 and February 15, Cairo will host the sixth edition of the Egypt Petroleum Show (EGYPS), one of the most important oil expos in the MENA region. Over 500 exhibitors and about 32,000 visitors from across the world will participate.
This exhibition, which is being held in the Egypt International Exhibition Centre, offers a significant chance for discussion, collaboration, business transactions, and research of solutions and strategies to transform international energy markets.
In addition to posting a surplus in the oil trade balance for the third year in a row, Egypt’s oil exports increased to USD 18.2 billion in 2022, according to the minister of petroleum and mineral resources Tarek El-Molla. The ministry declared that from 2014 to 2020, overall investments in Egypt’s oil and gas industries totaled USD 74 billion.
Following the recent significant discovery of the Zohr gas field in the Mediterranean, which is thought to contain 30 trillion cubic feet of gas, Egypt is aiming to become a regional hub for the trade of oil and liquefied natural gas.
