EGYPT ALLOCATES 3 BILLION POUNDS FOR THE RESTORATION OF EGYPTIAN ANTIQUITIES

According to the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the Egyptian authorities have allocated 3 billion pounds for the restoration of Egyptian antiquities. The budget will be mostly self-financed, with money generated from entrance fees to the archaeological site.

Seven million visitors visited Egypt in the first half of 2023. The ministry hopes to attract 15 million tourists by the end of the year.
