The Minister of Health and Population, Dr. Khaled Abdelghaffar has decided to ban smoking in all health facilities in Egypt.
This seeks to shield citizens from the negative effects of smoking on their health. The owners of these locations are required to take the necessary precautions to prohibit smoking, failure to do so might result in fines of up to EGP 20,000.
Additionally, smokers will be subject to a 50 to 100 pound fine.
