EGYPT BEATS MOROCCO TO REACH WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MAIN ROUND
The Pharaohs overpowered the Moroccans after a sluggish beginning, with some excellent saves from goalkeeper Mohamed Ali and some effective quick breaks giving them the advantage early on.
They were up 13-9 at the half and came out firing in the second to push the margin to 11 goals.
Ali’s replacement, goalkeeper Abdel-Rahman Homayed, won the game’s man of the match award after making a total of 14 saves in the second half.
With a 31-22 victory over former champions Croatia on Friday, Egypt maintained their strong start to the tournament and now leads Group G with four points.
