EGYPT LAUNCHES A NEW DIGITAL PLATFORM TO SAVE ITS CULTURE HERITAGE

The Egyptian Ministry of Culture has launched an exciting effort to digitally preserve Egypt’s rich cultural heritage and history in partnership with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.

The aim of the initiative is to digitally preserve all forms of Egyptian cultural information in order to increase its accessibility to Internet users.

The project has already digitized and archived about 110 books, 17 issues of the Contemporary Art Journal, 489 photos, and 1,710 theses from the Academy of Arts, in addition to 8,461 books and 625 journals from the General Book Authority.
