After a three-year absence, Egypt will return to the future Miss Universe pageant, which will be held in the US in January 2024.
The franchise to host Miss Egypt this year in order to select a representative to the contest held in El Salvador was won by a Dubai-based organisation, according to the announcement.
Egypt’s last appearance at the competition, which saw Miss South Africa win the title that year, was in 2019 when Diana Hamed represented Egypt at the Miss Universe pageant in Georgia, the United States.
Egypt is making a comeback this year.
In order to select the nation’s representative at the international Miss Universe pageant, one of the longest-running and most-watched beauty competitions in the world, Dubai announced that it has won the franchise to stage Miss Universe Egypt.
