Egypt signed an agreement with Italy and the International Labour Organization (ILO) to support the implementation of the National Plan for Combating Child Labour in Egypt.
The agreement aims to eliminate child labour in all its forms by 2025 while providing inclusive social protection.
1.3 million children are engaged in child labour activities in Egypt, with about 900,000 children exposed to hazardous work environments.
