According to a statement released by the Egyptian Presidency Spokesman on October 16th, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has continued the collaboration with Germany’s Siemens Energy on green energy projects as part of Egypt’s plan to establish itself as a regional hub for the production and exchange of new and renewable energy.

El-Sisi thanked Joe Kaeser, Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Siemens Energy, for all that the company has accomplished in implementing development projects in Egypt during their meeting.

The president also emphasised that Egypt is eager to take advantage of the German group’s experience in both the sphere of new and renewable energy as well as the projects involving electricity connectivity.

Kaeser, for his part, stated that Siemens Energy intends to continue operations in Egypt and strengthen the continuing collaboration with the nation.

Kaeser also emphasised the group’s history of productive cooperation with Egypt, which is reflected in a number of projects, including the three recognisable power plants that serve as the foundation of the country’s electrical infrastructure.
