For his short film “Eissa,” which is Arabic for “I Promise You Paradise,” Egyptian director Morad Mostafa won this past weekend’s Rail d’Or prize at the Cannes Film Festival. A jury made up of 100 people, including well-known film reviewers, decided who should receive the award, and MoradMostafa received it.
Morad Mostafa created history when his movie won the Rail d’Or, making it the first Egyptian production to do so.
