EGYPTIAN SCHOOLS TO INCLUDE SEX EDUCATION

Written by The Dose Team

The basic curriculum in public schools will now include lessons on sexual education, sexual harassment, and sexual violence, according to educational regulations published by the Egyptian Ministry of Education.

This action tries to raise children’s awareness of sexually inappropriate behaviour and to safeguard them from it. In order to ensure that programming complies with “societal norms and values,” the Supreme Council for Media Regulation recently adopted new regulations that apply to online streaming services like Netflix and Disney+. This news coincides with the SCMR’s announcement that Egypt’s streaming platform subscribers have recently experienced a significant and unheard-of rise.
