EL-SADAT’S DIPLOMATIC PASSPORT RETURNED TO ALEXANDRIA LIBRARY
The foreign passport of the late Egyptian President, Mohamed Anwar El-Sadat, has been found, according to a recent announcement from the Alexandria Library. The late president’s collection at the library now includes the passport, which Egyptian officials recovered from abroad and added there for preservation. It will be shown in a fitting museum exhibit that honours the leaders of Egypt.
El-Sadat’s family was shocked and outraged when American auction house Heritage Auctions revealed earlier in February that El-Sadat’s passport had been sold for $47,500.
