Dr. Hossam Abdel Fattah, dean of Cairo University’s Faculty of Engineering, has announced a ministerial decision that enables engineering students in both the normal system and the credit hours system to graduate in four rather than five years.
The new academic year in 2023–2024 will mark the beginning of the implementation of this decision. The first university to implement a four-year engineering programme will be Cairo University.
