FARRAH EL DIBANY & AYOUB SISTERS TO PERFORM AT CAIRO OPERA HOUSE THIS FEB
The Scottish-Egyptian musical duo the Ayoub Sisters and Egyptian mezzo-soprano Farrah El Dibany will take centre stage at the “Eternal Egypt: Where Stars Align” event on February 16 at the Cairo Opera House stage. Nayer Nagui, a renowned conductor and creative director of the Cairo Opera Orchestra, will conduct the event. The New Woman Foundation and Kheir Wa Baraka Foundation will benefit from the silent auction that includes the event.
As the first Arab woman to sing at the event, Dibany recently sang the French national song during the 2022 FIFA World Cup final. Meanwhile, the Ayoub sisters have previously given performances in Dubai, Dubai, and the UK. Their most recent record, “Arabesque,” pays homage to their Egyptian heritage. The performance promises to be a special musical combination thanks to Nagui’s modern interpretations of classical and pop music, the Ayoub sisters’ genre-defying compositions, and El Dibany’s beautiful vocals.
Tickets for the 8 PM concert are on sale at ticketsmarche.com and range in price from 500 to 5,000 Egyptian pounds.
