For the first time Cairo design week set to start in November 19
The inaugural Cairo Design Week, which will run from November 19 to November 25, is devoted to showcasing regional designers in Egypt and elsewhere. With a flurry of panel talks, art exhibitions, contests, and industry meet-ups with top local and international figures in design, their chic activities will dominate Cairo.

According to Hisham Mahdy, president of Cairo Design Week, “The Cairo Design Week will be a cornerstone event that puts Egypt on the map as a destination for art, creativity, and design and seeks to attract those communities from all over the world to discover, fall in love, and be eager to work with Egyptian creators.” By providing opportunities, we hope to encourage and support the budding young talent in the business.
This platform should serve as a launchpad for their future exposure of their work. The chance to start Cairo Design Week is a move that inspires creators to raise Egyptian art and design and emphasise the significance of Egyptian craft throughout history.

Cairo Design Week is highlighting Egypt’s artists, creatives, and designers. Egyptian craftsmanship and creativity span millennia, and historic artistic works continue to be produced now. Azza Fahmy, a jeweller, Amr Mansi, the creator of events, Karim Mekhtigian, a designer and founder of alchemy, Sherif Abdelhady, the creator of Aurea Furniture, and Amr Helmy of Amr Helmy Designs are just a few of the major names on the event’s board of trustees. During Cairo Design Week, there will be
DeForum, Fashion Design District, Azad Art Week, and the Creative Industry Summit are among the exhibitors on the list.

A CDA22 ceremony and an emerging designers’ competition, which will be judged by a panel of well-known designers and industry experts, will round out the celebrations on November 25.
