Written by The Dose Team

The tech giant Google revealed in an email to its customers, “In compliance with local laws in Egypt, starting from first of July 2023, we will start charging 14% VAT on electronic services unless we have your tax registration number”.

The Egyptian Ministry of Finance has been taxing online services and platforms for the past two years. The ministry changed the law in March to force the payment of VAT by foreign service providers from abroad.
