At the African Table Tennis Championships, which were held in Kenya, Hana Gouda and Dina Meshref, two Egyptian colleagues, engaged in a spirited duel. Gouda ultimately prevailed, 4-3. Hana already defeated Nigerian Fatimo Bello in the last edition of the continental event, making her victory her second straight triumph there. In the same competition, Marwa Alhodaby won bronze for Egypt alongside Hana.
