The first company to commission a solar power PV plant in Sharm El Sheikh is Hassan Allam Utilities.
Hassan Allam Utilities has stated that it is the first firm to commission and energize a solar photovoltaic (PV) plant in the resort town as part of Sharm El Sheikh’s remarkable green transformation ahead of the COP27 UN Climate Change Conference. As politicians and government officials from all over the world assemble to discuss the future of climate change and the best ways to handle it in November, the PV plant is now connected to the grid and will be used to power COP27.
Throughout the project’s 25-year lifespan, the plant will produce more than 10 GWh of renewable energy per year, reducing CO2 emissions by more than 131,300 tonnes.
After delivering a 50 MW PV power plant as part of Benban Solar Park in Aswan, the solar power plant is a component of Hassan Allam Utilities’ investment in development projects focused on sustainable infrastructure.
