This year, the legendary Hussein Fahmi will be the guest of honour at the 49th annual Film Association Festival, which will take place from May 6 to May 20 at the Cairo Opera House, according to director of cinematography Mahmoud Abdel Samie, head of the festival.
At the opening ceremony on May 6, @hussien.fahmi.official will present certificates for the winning films that received the most votes in the association’s annual voting.
The Minister of Culture, Dr. Nevin Al-Kilani, on the other hand, stated that “The Film Association Festival is one of the most important festivals that aspires to present to the public the rising creative brains in this business every year.
The festival is organised by the Ministry of Culture and collaborates with the National Cinema Centre, the Egyptian Opera House, the Cultural Development Fund, and the Syndicate of Film Professions.
