At the foot of the Great Pyramids of Giza, @Lorealparis‘s “Women of Worth” event welcomed a number of regional and international significant women as it celebrated more than 50 years of women-led movements. The event sought to convey to all women the idea that inner beauty is the essence of all that is lovely and that we must show our inner selves the respect and love it deserves in order to inspire and empower other women everywhere. Participants gathered at one of the first historical representations of beauty
Participants met under the three primary themes of Parisian luxury, science, and women’s empowerment to share personal tales and add to ongoing discussions on women’s roles in society. The Parisian luxury brand invited everyone together to honour female achievement, empowerment, and endeavours by highlighting accomplished and inspirational women from all walks of life and opposing harassment that prevents women from attaining their goals.
The space was overrun with booths dedicated to encouraging positive change. Their Stand Up booth provided training sessions that concentrated on addressing harassment and dismantling deeply ingrained misogynistic institutions in a world that continuously thrives on opposition. Women’s voices were not only amplified on the main stage; close to the panel discussions, an interview booth filled with personal tales from all attendees served as a platform for additional accounts and experiences, and renowned actress Mona Zaki virtually joined the discussion to make an impactful statement on women’s empowerment.
While intrinsic beauty served as the starting point for all conversations, the makeup, skincare, and haircare specialists also created a retail lab, an avant-garde service where the science behind their renowned serums was explained by resident experts and women connected over the brand’s opulent Parisian experience’s intergenerational beauty secrets.
