LUXURY TRAIN TALGO IS FINALLY OPERATING FROM CAIRO TO LUXOR
If you’ve ever imagined taking a first-class train to Luxor and relaxing in your seat while observing the desert and countryside pass by, you might want to clear this weekend off of your schedule. This Friday, January 27, Talgo, a luxurious sleeper train, will formally start running on the Cairo-Luxor route.
On the Upper Egypt line, the train is now running testing runs without any passengers.
The Spanish company was hired by the ministry of transportation to give Egypt seven opulent trains totaling EUR 157 million. Since December 2022, the first of these has been running on the Cairo-Alexandria line.
