META PAYS A RECORD $1.2 BILLION FINE OVER CLAIMS IT ABUSED ITS USERS’ DATA

Regulators alleged that it had not done enough to shield European users from having their data utilised in violation of US law

It will now have to destroy the Facebook data or relocate it back to Europe or pay a $1.2 billion fine
