The Ministry of Health and Population, has announced two cases of COVID-19 variant EG-5, for the first time in Egypt.
The ministry said that the patients have COVID-19 symptoms and they’re recovering.
Doctor’s advice is to take the vaccination, especially for elderly people who are the most affected by the disease, and people with chronic diseases, and and boost their immune system with a healthy diet.
EG.5 is a new COVID variant “EG.5” also known as “ERIS”, that was identified in China last February and was detected in USA in April and more 50 countries.
There’s no scientific evidence yet says EG.5 is more dangerous.
