Egyptian superstar Mohamed Mounir will end a 12-year absence from the Mediterranean city by presenting a concert at Alex Arena in the Golden Jewel Hotel in July.
Mounir last visited Alexandria 12 years ago to do a concert there in a more intimate setting.
Since the beginning of his career in the early 1970s, Mounir has embraced both the Nubian musical heritage and the wider Egyptian creative traditions. A household name to many, The King (as his followers call to the singer) speaks to generations and draws sizable crowds to his live concerts.
