This November, when the Ministry of Transport is scheduled to officially launch the new East Nile Monorail project during the COP27 UN Climate Change Conference in Sharm El Sheikh, it’s time to hop on the sustainability bandwagon.
The monorail will span 22 stops over a distance of 56.5 km from the Stadium Station in Nasr City to the Adala City Station in the New Administrative Capital.
The initiative is a component of a wider, greener public transportation makeover that includes new electric rail lines to the New Administrative Capital and a Bus Rapid Transit network along Cairo’s Ring Road.
