Nouhaila Benzina, a veiled Moroccan, becomes the first veiled player to participate in the Women’s World Cup, which will be hosted by Australia and New Zealand, starting from July 22.
After publishing the image of the Moroccan player, the International Federation of Football Associations reported that Nouhaila Benzina will enter history in the Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand 2023, noting that the Moroccan star will be the first player to compete in the tournament while wearing a hijab.
It is noteworthy that the Moroccan national team signed in a group with Germany, Colombia and South Korea in the Women’s World Cup.
