NO MORE TUKTUKS IN NEW CAIRO
Although tuktuks have long been a contentious issue on Egyptian streets, it seems like a decision has been made in New Cairo. According to a recent order made by the New Cairo City Authority, tuk tuks are no longer permitted to go through the streets of New Cairo. The choice was determined following a series of talks between the city’s people and the New Cairo City Authority.
The prohibition is currently in place, and the First District of New Cairo has already seen the confiscation of several tuktuks.
