Two new smartphone apps have been made available by the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy for Egyptians to use in order to report issues with electrical services and power outages.

‘electrical Emergency’ is the name of the first app, which will offer immediate technical assistance for any emergencies or outages involving electrical services. With responses in sign language, the second app, “Electricity Services for the Deaf,” will be geared towards those who have hearing loss.

These two applications are a part of the nation’s unified platform for smart power services, which was introduced in 2020 and has been utilised by 3.5 million people.
