SAUDI ARABIA RELEASES “AL HAMOUR” TO EGYPTIAN CINEMAS

The first commercially released Saudi Arabian movie in Egyptian theatres will be “Alhamour H.A.”

The movie, which is based on a true account, follows infamous Saudi Arabian conman Hamour Sawwa, who amassed a fortune of SAR 1.5 billion by defrauding 4,000 victims before being publicly exposed in 2004.

Hani Kadour and Omar Bahabri wrote the script for “Alhamour H.A,” which Saudi filmmaker Abdulelah Alqurashi, based in Los Angeles, directed. Fahad Al-Qahtani, Khaled Yeslam, Ismail Al-Hassan, Khayria Abu Laban, Hussam Al-Harthy, Ali Al-Sharif, and Fatima Al-Banawi are among the actors who appear in the movie. The music for the comedy-drama was composed by renowned Egyptian musician Hisham Nazih.
The album’s publication represents a turning point in the kingdom’s artistic resurgence, as Saudi Arabia now supports more productions and voices in a wider range of genres and media in an effort to highlight Saudi talent.
