SAUDI ARABIA TO HOST 2023 ARAB LEAGUE SUMMIT IN MAY
The 2023 Arab League meeting will take place on May 19 thanks to a decision by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. After speaking with the Saudi government and Arab League head Ahmed Aboul Gheit, the Arab League’s Cairo-based block made the statement. It is expected that Syria’s re-admission to the Arab League, ten years after its membership was halted, will be a top priority for the summit. The latest summit of the Arab League was held in November 2022 in Algiers.
