SAUDI PILGRIMS MUST USE APPS TO BOOK THEIR UMRAH
All Saudi pilgrims who want to undertake Umrah rituals this year must schedule their appointments through the Nusuk or Tawakkalna apps, according to an announcement from the Saudi Ministry of Interior.
According to Mohammed Ibn Abdullah Al-Bassimi, Director and General Lieutenant of Public Security, this is a part of the Ministry’s planning and preparations to control and arrange people and traffic during the current Umrah season.
Additionally, he said that there are enough reservations available and urged that pilgrims must follow the precise dates set by the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques and the Ministry of Hajj.
The Umrah security strategy also calls for giving humanitarian aid and enabling the organisations taking part in its execution.
Al-Bassimi also confirmed that in order to ensure crowd movement safety, the walkways in the public transportation stations at the Third Ring Road, the entry to Makkah, and close to the Holy Mosque of Makkah were reorganised to take into account predicted densities. He also emphasised the significance of face masks for maintaining public health.
Hammoud bin Sulieman Al-Faraj, Director-General of Civil Defense, declared that as part of additional safety precautions, the General Directorate of Civil Defense has finished its preparations in places frequented by pilgrims and tourists to provide fire prevention and protection.
