A limited amount of gold may soon be allowed to be brought into Egypt by travellers without having to pay customs fees. Jewellery, ingots, and even bars of gold are all possible forms of the metal.
This action has been suggested by Dr. Ali Moselhi, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, in light of the noticeably rising demand for gold bars and ingots. The Gold Division and the Chamber of Commerce are actively talking about the proposal.
