SOUTH KOREA RESUMES CHARTER FLIGHTS TO EGYPT

As South Korea officially relaxes the final of its COVID-19 era travel restrictions, charter flights to Egypt have begun.

Recently, two charter planes operated by South Korean carriers touched down at Cairo International Airport. Asiana Airlines flew the first trip, which originated in Seoul and had 295 passengers. In the meantime, Korean Air was in charge of the second flight.

In 2012, South Korea first stopped operating charter flights to Egypt. Seven years later, in 2019, the suspension was momentarily removed before the world was struck by the COVID-19 epidemic, which brought on a global lockdown in 2020.

In 2023, South Korean airlines will run fewer flights between January and February before ramping up throughout the spring and summer months.
