SUPER STARS TAMER ASHOUR AND ANGAHAM OPEN KUWAIT SUMMER FESTIVAL ON MAY 11

Written by The Dose Team

With its Kuwait Summer Festival, Kuwait is turning up the heat this summer. The event begins on Thursday, May 11, and runs through Saturday, May 13, with an incredible roster. The Kuwait Arena (TAK), the largest indoor event venue in the nation, will host the festival, which is expected to draw more than 5,000 attendees.

Egypt’s Angham and Tamer Ashor, who will play classics including “W Nefdal Norkos” and “Khaleeny fe Hodnak,” will get things started on Thursday. Hany Farhat, an Egyptian conductor, will lead an orchestra that will play music for the two.

Tamer Hosny, Egypt’s most popular heartthrob, will take the stage on the second day, May 12, and play his varied hits, which vary from “Awelny Kalam” to “180 Degrees.” A Kuwaiti Khaliji band named Miami Band will support Hosny.

Concerts by Syrian Assala and Lebanese Elissa, the duet we never knew we needed, will take place on May 13. So prepare yourself for those sombre ballads, including “Law Aoullak” and “El Warda El Balady.”

El Hadabah and Amr Diab will be performing on stage on May 18 after the event has ended, providing a much-needed dose of nostalgia. On the website of The Arena Kuwait, you may purchase festival tickets.
