THE 10TH EDITION OF ASWAN’S INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF ARTS AND CULTURE WILL BEGIN THIS FEBRUARY
This Thursday, February 16th, the 10th Aswan International Festival of Arts & Culture will begin, according to the Ministry of Culture.
With 21 local groups (including 11 folklore bands) and a handful of artists from Palestine, Greece, Sri Lanka, Poland, Sudan, Indonesia, Mexico, Slovakia, Romania, and South Korea, the festival celebrates the diversity of cultural artistic expression across Egypt and the world.
This annual celebration will come to a close on February 22, the day of the solar alignment at the Abu Simbel Temples, which honours the birthday of the great pharaoh Ramses II by shining on the statue of the king there.
