The Egyptian Tax Authority has just announced that content makers will be compelled to pay taxes. This new policy applies to persons working in any profession or activity that generates revenue, both within and outside of Egypt, as long as Egypt is their major base of operations.

Certain conditions must be met by content creators in order to comply with tax legislation. These include registering with the Egyptian Tax office for tax purposes, completing tax returns by the dates, and quickly reporting any changes in their activities to the tax office. The declaration mentions permanent termination, transfer of ownership, exit from the profession, death, or removal of a partner as examples of such developments.
