THE FIRST EDITION OF THE HURGHADA INTERNATIONAL YOUTH FILM FESTIVAL TAKES PLACE THIS SEPTEMBER

The first Hurghada International Youth Film Festival will highlight the works of up-and-coming Arab filmmakers from September 21 to September 27. The festival will honour renowned Egyptian director Youssef Chahine to mark the anniversary and give attendees a close-up tour of the visionary filmmaker’s lengthy filmography.

A panel discussion moderated by Egyptian celebrities that Chahine found during the course of his career, including Khaled El Nabawy, Hani Salama, Youssra El Lozy, Ruby, and others, will also be on the itinerary.

The Hurghada Youth International Film Festival will offer a number of short and feature film contests, a contest for film students around Egypt, and a unique prize known as “The Green Prize” for films that address climate change.
The festival is supported by the Ministry of Culture and the Red Sea Governorate.
