THE HOLY MONTH OF RAMADAN WILL START ON MARCH 23
Ramadan will start on Thursday, March 23, according to the National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics (NRIAG) in Cairo. Their calculations indicate that Egypt and the majority of the Arab nations are covered by this date.
The crescent moon will not be visible at sunset on the 29th of Sha’ban, which occurs on March 21 this year, according to the NRIAG. Hence, on March 23, Ramadan will officially begin. Moreover, they have forecasted that Eid El Fitr will start on April 21.
On March 21, Dar Al-Iftaa will provide the definitive certification.
